Onboard, Luka and Gerome hit up the APX Lodge in Silverton!!!
Dragon Euro riders, Luka Jeromel and Gerome Mathieu thought it was about time they headed to the APX Lodge in Silverton to see what all the fuss was about. Sami from Onboard Magazine was kicking about and decided that he'd join us for the trip. Luka was already shooting in Mammoth so he had an easy flight over to Colorado. Gerome however was out in Norway shooting with the Pirates, so had to endure a 24 hour journey, followed by a 4 hour wait for Prendi. Sorry Gerome!
Alex Pashly is running the whole operation and knew that this kicker spot (above) was good to go. So with a quick re-shape the kids started throwing down.
I don't get many days that start off that good. Both Luka and Gerome stuck the first hit. Gerome with a switch back 180 and Luka with a BS7. Gerome then started doing Switch BS 9's and 10's, and on his last hit, came up short and caught the wind lip... But managed to do a weird butter tap type thing and then drop another 5m. Looked sick!
Through the viewfinder of the camera, Luka's day looked painful. He got the BS7 from two angles, but then wanted a FS7. That's where it started getting messy. Some of gnarliest rag-dolls I've ever witnessed. The edit will be online tomorrow. Be sure to check it out!
It was a little late in the day to get another spot done, so we drove around beautiful Silverton to check out some ghost towns and some old mine shafts that could be potential jibbing spots.
Alex cooked up an amazing pork chop dinner, which went pretty well with a few beers. After that, we pretty much just chilled and enjoyed some sunshine. Alrighty, gonna catch some Zzzzzzzz.
Check back tomorrow!

Confessions of an X-Games (trip) winner
This season we wanted to say thanks to our best UK retailer by giving them an all expenses paid trip to the X-Games in Tignes, France. The winner of the trip was Ollie Maslin from Bucks boarding center. Here's his diary of the trip;
Getting on board the sleazy-jet flight in Luton. Destination, Geneva!
Killing some time on the flight to check out the new APX goggles that Craig (our UK rep) just delivered to me when he dropped me at the airport.
Approaching the Alps from the Swiss. Not too much snow, but we made the most of it.
After taking a wrong turn and ending up somewhere near to Italy, we finally made it to Tignes. We heading straight of to the Monster party at Jacks club where we managed to blag some VIP wrist bands. Free drinks all night! Sweet!
The hangover was tough, but I forced myself out of bed and off up the hill for a bit of shred time.
Hooked up with some friends from back home...
... did some follow cams...
... and showed the kids how it's done. After that we headed off to a restaurant with the Dragon team for some traditional French grub.
I took it pretty easy at the Dragon dinner as I'd heard word that the forecast was bluebird and didn't want to be hanging. I wasn't disappointing, check the photo below;
After a long day on the hill, I headed down to watch the mens final of the half pipe. Again, I managed to blag an all area pass, so I didn't have to stand at the bottom with the commoners.
Well yeah, that was my trip to Tignes. Thanks Dragon, it was a banger, let's do it again next year!
